“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place”
Paulo Coelho
Hello, thank you for visiting. My name is Sophie and I am a qualified counsellor/ therapist based in Farnham and London. I hold sessions in person at The Eaves in central Farnham, and online via Zoom, so I can meet with clients based throughout the UK.
I’m passionate about providing people with a warm, empathic space where they feel safe to explore the issues that have brought them to therapy.
I currently offer both time-limited therapy of between six and 20 sessions, or longer term, open-ended therapy. Short-term can work particularly well if you are coming to therapy with a specific problem or goal in mind. In longer-term counselling we might be able to explore the issues you have brought to therapy in more depth.
I know from personal experience that counselling can be a challenging journey, but an immensely rewarding one.
Issues I work with include:
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Perfectionism
- Low self-esteem
- Overwhelm
- Relationship issues
Perhaps something from your childhood is affecting how you relate with people, or unhelpful patterns repeat in your life.
Whatever struggle you’re facing, I provide a safe space in which we can work through these issues together, and find a way for you to move forward with more peace, contentment and fulfilment.
Therapeutic approach:
- Humanistic
- Psychodynamic
- Attachment theory
- CBT
- Existential
